EastGroup eyes Round Rock for next Austin-area development

Mississippi-based EastGroup Properties Inc. (NYSE: EGP) has plans to develop a new industrial project in Round Rock. The developer's plans for the project, called 350 Texas Industrial, calls for two new warehouses to begin construction in the coming months, according to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. Round Rock, along with Georgetown, are hotbeds for Austin's industrial development, though Georgetown's city officials have expressed hesitation for more industrial development in the city.
